Some shredding jobs are not a subscription. A records room that needs clearing, an office that is moving, a practice converting to electronic records, a business closing its doors. You need it done once, done securely, and documented.
TriHaz Solutions provides one time purge shredding for businesses and healthcare facilities across Alabama, Tennessee, and the Southeast. Priced per job, scheduled around you, with a Certificate of Destruction when it is finished. No ongoing contract required.
Records retention cleanouts. Files have passed their retention period and are taking up space you are paying for.
Office moves and downsizing. Nobody wants to pay to move boxes of paper that should have been destroyed years ago. Reduced footprints and hybrid work have made this one of the most common purge triggers.
Business closures and retirements. Everything has to be dealt with, and confidential records cannot simply be left behind or thrown out.
EMR conversions. A practice going digital ends up with years of paper charts that are now redundant. See medical records shredding for HIPAA requirements on patient files.
Mergers and acquisitions. Legacy paper from an acquired business becomes your liability the day the deal closes.
Storage unit and offsite cleanouts. Paying monthly storage on boxes nobody has opened in a decade.
Year end purges. Annual cleanouts scheduled against a retention calendar.
Post-audit and post-litigation. Files held for a specific purpose that are now clear for destruction.
Most companies will not tell you how this works, so here it is.
Volume is the main factor. Purge jobs are priced by volume, usually measured in standard boxes or by weight. A standard banker’s box holds roughly 30 pounds of paper. Copy paper cartons hold slightly more. If you can count your boxes, you can get an accurate quote over the phone.
Most providers have a minimum. Very small jobs are priced at a minimum charge, because sending a truck and a crew costs the same whether it is five boxes or fifteen. If you have a small quantity, ask what the minimum covers, since you may be able to include more at no additional cost.
Access affects price. Ground floor with a loading dock is different from a fourth floor walk-up, or a storage unit across town. Tell us where the boxes are when you call.
Preparation does not affect price with us. Some providers charge extra for staples, clips, folders, or binders. We do not. Paper goes in as it comes off the shelf.
Onsite and offsite cost differently. Destroying material at your location with a mobile truck typically costs more than transporting it to a facility for destruction. Both produce the same Certificate of Destruction. Choose based on whether you need to witness it.
The honest answer to “what does it cost” is that it depends on box count, location, and access. Tell us those three things and we will give you a real number rather than a range that means nothing.
We arrive at the scheduled time with the equipment and crew the job needs.
Boxes are collected under chain of custody. Sealed and secured from the moment they leave your space.
Destruction happens either at your location or at a secure facility, depending on what you chose.
You receive a Certificate of Destruction documenting what was destroyed and when.
Paper is baled and recycled after destruction.
Law firms, medical and dental practices, banks and financial services, accounting firms, insurance agencies, real estate and title companies, property managers, schools and universities, nonprofits and churches, government offices, and businesses of every size clearing out records.
If you find yourself scheduling purges repeatedly, scheduled shredding with locked consoles is usually cheaper than doing it as a project each time.
Serving businesses across Alabama and Tennessee, including Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, as part of our shredding services across the Southeast.
Tell us roughly how many boxes, where they are, and what floor. We will give you a price and a date.
